Enjoy:
My former student at University of Guelph-Humber Tracy Woolcock sat down to have a conversation for an assignment in one of her classes.
A general summary of how my month of August and the summer has been.
I have always loved Bobby McFerrin's music, especially his later stuff that sounds like acoustic, body-based African music. It is so inspiring. Here is an ode to Bobby McFerrin, and the best way I could create my original song without having a French horn or an organ around - the instruments I could probably end up remember how to play.
Donna Kakonge updates you on how things have been going for the month of June.
Listen to Robin Marvel and I discuss interesting things going on with both of us. I mention in this podcast that I will be in a play and that has since changed. All other information is accurate. You can listen to it here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/robin-marvel.
I had the pleasure of having Noha Hassan over for dinner. We share some of our conversation with you.
Just a quick update with my new and improved H4 Zoom!
This is a recording of a conference about radio that was held in 1998 in Montreal. A story came out of this conference that aired on Radio Canada International. You will enjoy it.
Here are some outtakes from putting together the conference stories for Radio Canada International.
This is work that I did for Radio Canada International on a special assignment back in 2001. The assignment consisted of flying to Edmonton from Montreal and doing stories on a conference that took place there on African issues. The edited version of the story was aired on a show formerly known as "African Eyes," a live morning show that went out to sub-Saharan Africa. One of the people I met there was Dr. Wole Soyinka is among many things, a writer. The audio is a bit rough and unedited. Please enjoy the rawness of the audio. I hope it helps you to be a part of a special moment in African-Canadian history.
We chose quite a wonderful piece of music today from the harddrive files of Seneca College. This one is classical. Please do not ask me who the composer is. I have forgotten some of my general knowledge. I do hope you enjoy it.
